The Legacy of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418 Continues

If you are a Garden City resident, then you are no stranger to the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418 at 294 Vine Street. For 75 years, we have supported and assisted Veterans and their families. In addition to celebrating anniversaries and events important to not only the local Polish community but other community agencies.  The non-profit Polish Legion Branch 418 has been dedicated to improving the lives of all people in the area. Polish Veterans Branch 418 also sponsors the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps 358 RCSS Sir Isaac Brock.  The efforts of Branch 418 members and the Ladies Auxiliary have over the years provided a generous amount of charity service and community outreach as well as substantial monetary contributions for a variety of important causes across St. Catharines and the Niagara Region.

You will have noticed the demolition of the Legion’s building and banquet facilities where many celebratory events were held, and family memories created. Portion of the property will be the home of Legacy On Vine Modern Townhomes.  Adjacent to the new Legacy on Vine Townhome development will be a brand-new Legion facility that will be home to the next generation of Veterans, Peacekeepers, Legionnaires, Comrades and Volunteers who will carry on the heritage of generosity and goodwill established by Polish Veterans Branch 418 for many more years to come.  The legacy of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Veterans Branch 418 will continue.
